If there is anything we’ve learned by now, it’s that stepping out and dressing up really does lift the spirits and make us feel happier!

At Making Faces Makeup Studio, we believe in two things:

1. Beauty has no age

2. Experimenting with new tricks, tips, products and colours is always in style!

So, to celebrate being back to doing the things we love, here are some eye makeup tips and ideas to get you out of that post-lockdown makeup rut and into the festive season!

We are seeing coloured eyes trending. Dare to be a little bold (remember to 80s) from graphic cobalt blue to purples and pinks with an afterdark glittering metallic highlight.  Take a look at some of the bold eyeshadow tones in The Atelier Paris range.

No doubt, brown eyes will pop when you’re in the blue as complementary shades come to life when used together.

Here’s how: setting a light base across the eye for e.g.) a little light concealer together with a few grains of loose powder will help blend and soften the look.

Take a lighter tone of eyeshadow all over the eyelid, then apply with a smaller brush a darker colour into the crease, blending from the outside in.

PRO TIP: For a clean easy application, when working with strong eyeshadow tones, apply your eye makeup before foundation this give a little margin for error to blend down or brighten up.

PRO TIP: Blending and Softening will always work well with good quality brushes.
